'VCL MAXCOM 8 to OZLINE RS232 PORT

There are two ways of controlling VCL domes via OzLine transmitters:

1. Direct connection to the VCL dome head using RS485 commands from the port on an Ozline 4, 12. The firware within the transmitter is specially prepared to handle the VCL protocol requirements. Connection is simple: terminal 1 on the Ozline unit connects to the yellow wire on the VCL loom. terminal 2 on the OzLine unit D connector terminates to the blue wire.

Note the VCL dome nedds to be RS485 enabled and the VCL drivers VCL tpp must be loaded to the OZcam folder. Set Camera ID. This may be one out on early software i.e. camera 1 = 128 camera 2 = 1

2. Control of domes via Maxcom VCL controllers with RS232 input. Make up the cable connecting D connector on specially prepared OzLine 4, 12 unit to RS232 mini DIN port on Maxcom as following diagramme. Enable RS232 within menu settings of the maxcom. Use VCL-telemetry drivers within OzCam folder.

Cable configuration diagram follows:
