Three OzVision Training Seminars Earn CEU Accreditation

WOBURN, Mass. – Three of OzVision’s in-depth and informative training seminars have earned CEU accreditation.

The new courses – Installation of OzVision 4CS and 12CS, OzVision Central Station Operator Training and OzVision for Central Station IT Operations – are the latest OzVision courses to earn CEU accreditation. Recurring Revenue from Video, a sales course on selling video services, previously earned CEU accreditation several years ago.

With the three newly accredited courses, industry professionals will be able to earn CEU credit for training in all of the facets that are integral to the OzVision concept: sales, installation and central station operations. The courses will be offered at companies for on-site training, at distribution branches, conventions, on the web and at OzVision corporate headquarters.

Because many of the major security manufacturers including Honeywell, Tyco and Bosch offer products that are OzVision Compatible and central stations have made OzVision technology the standard, the training seminars go beyond OzVision specific products and are industry-wide.

“These seminars are an important part of the installation and integration process, and now installers, central station operators and IT personnel can earn valuable CEU Credit for participating,” said Ed Mallen, president and CEO of OzVision. “I encourage anyone who is considering installing, monitoring or supporting OzVision or OzVision Compatible systems to take these courses.”

Installation of OzVision 4CS and 12CS
This course presents an overview of the OzVision concept and installation of the OzLine 4CS and 12CS remote video units – including connecting to alarm panels and cameras, setting zones and setting up an account with a central station. The course will cover the different video monitoring services – such as video verification and remote business management – that can be offered. Instructors will touch on other OzVision Compatible manufacturers. Participants will learn about system requirements and how OzVision operates with and enhances DVRs.

OzVision Central Station Operator Training
This course provides an overview of the OzVision concept of video verification and its role in the central station business model. Course instructors will review the various video monitoring services and handling a video alarm event. Operators will also learn about OzMail and Control Center applications.

OzVision for Central Station IT Operations
This course covers the IT requirements for installing and configuring the OzVision video receiver in a central station – including the necessary hardware components, how to set up OzMail, operator event handling and Control Center administration. Instructors will also demonstrate utilities for programming, testing with installers and troubleshooting.

OzVision has become the new standard in video monitoring services by being the only video solution fully integrated in all major central station software. The result is a host of video services being offered by OzVision Compatible central stations, including visual verification, open/close video reports, and video email notification upon an event.
